Village Elections 2024

Do you know how your Annual Assessment to the Columbia Association is spent or what social events the Village sponsors for its members? Interested in how pools and playgrounds are managed? This is your opportunity to have a “say” in the financial affairs of the community. Vote in Village Elections on Saturday, April 20 from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Claret Hall. Residents of the Village of River Hill age 18 and older are considered members of the River Hill Community Association (RHCA) and are permitted to vote. Residents must bring proof of person, residency, and age to the polls. A Maryland driver’s license, Howard County voter registration card, passport, and/or a birth certificate maybe used. Tenants and new residents must present a deed, lease, or utility bill addressed to the individual at their River Hill residence.

After casting your vote, there will be an opportunity to participate in the free shredding event in the parking lot in front of Claret Hall from 9 a.m. until noon (or until truck is full). River Hill residents may bring up to 5 file-size boxes of sensitive documents for shredding). Additionally, voters or their children will get to select a free plant, compliments of the Columbia Association.

Are you unable to vote in person? Absentee ballots may be requested beginning April 1. Residents may make their requests in writing (via email or letter) through April 11. All requests for absentee ballots (via email, in writing, or in-person) must be accompanied by proof of person, age, and residence.
