Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the association’s Annual Meeting and election of members to the Board of Directors have been rescheduled to Saturday, June 27, 2020, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Absentee balloting is strongly encouraged. The association has modified its election procedures to be more flexible this year. An absentee ballot is enclosed on page 12 of the hard copy newsletter that was mailed to all village properties. It is also available below and lists the return methods. All absentee ballots must be received by midnight on June 26. In-person voting will take place outside, in front of Claret Hall (6020 Daybreak Circle, Clarksville, MD 21029) beginning at 9 a.m. on June 27. Residents planning to vote in person must provide proof of person, age (18+), and residence. Social distancing measures will be in place and masks will be required. Claret Hall will be closed to the public.
The association’s Board of Directors (BOD) decided in March to maintain a seven-member Board in FY21 (May 2020 – April 2021). Harjeet Jandu is running for re-election to retain his seat on the BOD. Read his Candidate Statement on our home page and also on page 17 of the online issue. Currently, there are two vacated positions to be filled by appointment. One position has a one-year term ending April 30, 2021. The second position is for a two year term. The BOD has extended the deadline for submittal of letters of interest until June 18.
