Teen Talk Makes its Debut

The association is pleased to announce the debut of a new column entitled Teen Talk. This column will be written by local teens for teens, as well as other interested readers, and will be appearing every other month. For several years the association has wanted to broaden the newsletter’s relevance and readership. Therefore, we were delighted when Ashley Chen, a senior at River Hill High School and a member of the association’s Teen Advisory Committee (TAC), expressed interest in contributing to a teen-related column. Miss Chen will work in collaboration with association staff to identify topics of interest and develop content. There is much we can learn from our local high schoolers. They have an abundance of energy, great ideas, a wide range of interests and talents, and are involved in many school and non-school activities. Teen Talk will provide an opportunity for teens to share information about what they are doing and what is of importance to them. The column will also highlight the TAC’s accomplishments and upcoming events. Please check out the inaugural Teen Talk article on page 10 of the January issue of The Villager. We think you’ll enjoy it!
Teens who have an idea for a column and/or an interest in writing an article should contact Jennifer Lynott, the association’s Communications Coordinator at newsletter@villageofriverhill.org or 410- 531-1749.
