River Hill Community Association Announces New Village Manager

The River Hill Community Association is pleased to introduce Renée DuBois as the Village’s next Village Manager. Ms. DuBois has officially accepted the position and started on Monday, August 30, 2021.

“I am so excited for this opportunity to collaborate with our Board and to serve the Village of River Hill,” DuBois said. “Celebrating the thirtieth anniversary of the village is a pivotal time in the evolution of our community as we learn from the past to prepare for our future.” DuBois comes to the Village of River Hill with extensive experience in finance and community advocacy. Since earning her bachelor’s degree in urban planning, DuBois has earned a master’s degree in business administration from the Johns Hopkins University and passed the Certified Public Accounting exam in 1985. Ms. Dubois has committed the last several years to advocating for families and other stakeholders while on the River Hill and Columbia Association Boards of Directors.

“I am eager to roll up my sleeves and continue working on behalf of the children and families at the heart of River Hill. I am looking forward to working across our village and our county to improve opportunities available for every stakeholder,” said DuBois.

“On behalf of the Board of Directors and staff, we are eager to work with Renée DuBois in her new role as Village Manager,” said Matt Levine, Chairperson of the Village of River Hill Board of Directors. “She has a focus on transparent and inclusive leadership. I am eager to work with her on opportunities to enhance Jim Rouse’s vision of ‘a garden for the growing of people’. She brings fresh eyes and perspectives to our village, and I wish Renée much success and look forward to assisting her in her new role.”

With the Village of River Hill’s experienced management team as support, Ms. DuBois will be well-positioned to take the strong village leadership mantle from Susan Smith, retiring Village Manager, and to work with the Board and lead River Hill into the future.
