Relocation for Clarksville Post Office Proposed

EnvelopeThe United States Postal Service has announced plans to reestablish the retail service that was previously provided at the Clarksville Post Office. The relocation project will consist of procuring a suitable location, as close as reasonably possible to the previous location.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations. These retail services will continue at the Columbia Post Office and Ellicott City Post Office for Clarksville customers until such time as all necessary preparations are completed at the new location. There will be no changes to mail delivery or customers’ addresses.

U.S. Postal Service representatives were scheduled to present the proposed plans during a public meeting on January 27. Due to the Association’s newsletter publication schedule, we were unable to include the project details in this issue.
