Pollution Solutions: Rain Garden Planting & Oyster Reef Ball Building

Want to make a positive difference by helping the environment? Join the River Hill Watershed Advisory Committee, Columbia Association, Chesapeake Bay Trust, and Coastal Conservation Association Maryland on Saturday, April 6 for Rain Garden Planting and Oyster Reef Ball Building. The activities will occur at The Meeting Room (located next to the River Hill Pool) 6330 Trotter Road, Clarksville.

Rain Gardens help slow the flow, keeping pollutants out of our waterways. The Reef Balls will end up in the Chesapeake Bay and eventually house up to 2,000 oysters, each filtering pollution from up to 50 gallons of water a day.

Pre-registration for the event is requested. Call 410-531-1749 or email events@villageofriverhill.org to sign up. Questions about the event may be directed to RiverHillWatershed@gmail.com.
