Music Together Classes to Resume at Claret Hall
Claret Hall is excited to welcome back Music Together with Sonia classes this summer! Ms. Sonia will be providing high quality Music Together classes to children ages 0-5. Classes are 45 minutes in length and focus on encouraging families to participate in music in a playful atmosphere without pressure to perform. Children’s various learning styles and temperaments are honored, and participation is encouraged by accepting and including their spontaneous responses. Music Together instructors know
how important movement is when it comes to music learning— unlike some other early childhood music programs, sitting still is not required!
Classes will be offered on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings at Claret Hall in the River Hill Village Center. The first session begins on June 21 and runs through July 26.

New Class Offering at Claret Hall Can Help Prevent Diabetes
This summer, Claret Hall will be the site of a new class: The Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) Group Lifestyle Balance which is based on a landmark study funded by the NIH. The DPP study involved 3,000 participants. All were pre-diabetic and at high risk for Type 2 Diabetes. The study focused on lifestyle changes including healthy eating and physical activity. It was a great success, proving that moderate lifestyle changes can not only prevent the onset of Type 2 Diabetes but also reduce or eliminate risk factors for heart disease. This program is supported by the CDC.
The class will be held Tuesdays at 6 p.m. starting on July 6. Registration is required. For more information, contact Suzie at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit www.livingfitnessrx.com/diabetes-program.
