Candidates for River Hill Representative to the Columbia Council / CA Board of Directors
Eric Greenberg
I have been honored to represent River Hill on the Columbia Association Board of Directors over the past three and half years. I am committed to ensuring that our village retains the resources that we need to continue to operate effectively, and hold events including the annual Fourth of July parade. I will continue to fight for reducing the annual charge and membership fees for residents to use CA’s pools and other amenities. It is imperative that we as residents get a better value for our annual charge dollars. Finally, I am working to ensure that we remain a good steward of our parks and open space. As a father of a six year old, I understand the importance of the pools, play areas, and parks in our neighborhood, and my goal is to continue to protect and enhance these important community resources.
Adam White
As an RHHS Class of ’99 graduate, I have been part of the community for a long time. I have previously served multiple terms on the River Hill board, as both vice-chair and chair. My most fortunate accomplishments while serving on the board were having meetings with a developer to discuss environmentally friendly options, and also ensuring that our local spelling bee national champion was a part of the 4th of July parade. I was grateful to also be a member of the River Hill Watershed Committee and currently I serve as a Weed Warrior for Columbia Association. As our village’s representative, I would work for responsible development, protection of our open spaces, and fair budgeting. We will keep our local community strong as we move into the future. We live in one of the best places in the country and I believe we are all good neighbors!
Candidates for River Hill Board of Directors
Moe Imran
I’m seeking re-election to the River Hill Community Association Board of Directors, driven by a deep commitment to our residents’ well-being. Since 2006, River Hill has been our home, where our son thrived through his K-12 education. We’ve actively participated in community life for 18 years, and my wife dedicates herself to special needs students at Harpers Middle School, further solidifying our connection to this community.
I pledge to be a strong voice for our residents, ensuring their concerns are heard and addressed. I believe in fostering a vibrant, supportive environment for all.
Beyond community involvement, I enjoy exploring diverse cultures through travel and language learning, including French, German, and Russian. I also find joy in Waltz dance and music.
Lisa Krausz
I have been a resident of River Hill Village for over 6 years now. My family has benefited enormously from the high quality of life here. We especially enjoy the walking paths, the cherished local public schools, and the clean and healthy air. Community engagement is a core value of mine. I served as PTSA President of River Hill High School for 2 years, from 2021-2023, while promoting county-wide PTSA parent education programs and school safety initiatives. As a Village Board member, I will work to foster best-use practices of our wonderful walking paths and recreational outdoor spaces, to safeguard our air quality (from threats like the proposed W.R. Grace plastic incineration project), and to promote community engagement. It is my belief that the Village Board should play a role in safeguarding residents’ health and safety, and that we can do more to engage residents on these matters.

Open Seats
There are three (3) open seats on the River Hill Community Association Board of Directors and one (1) open seat for Columbia Council Representative/CA Board of Directors. There is no limit to the number of candidates who may run. The River Hill Community Association was created to enhance the quality of life for residents and to provide opportunities for community engagement. As part of their responsibilities, board members oversee the association’s finances and management, including operating Claret Hall and The Meeting Room; enforce covenants, and help organize signature community events like the Independence Day Parade, Haunted Hollow’s Eve celebration, and the National Night Out Pool Party.
Additionally, the board appoints the Village Manager, sets association policy, and advocates on behalf of residents. The Board also champions key issues such as local development, traffic and safety on behalf of the community.
Members serve a two-year term from May 1, 2025, through April 30, 2027. They typically meet one evening per month, with the exception of April, which includes two meetings.
Every two years, River Hill elects a resident to serve as the community’s Columbia Council Representative. The Columbia Council elects itself to serve as the Columbia Association’s Board of Directors (CABOD), which is the governing body of CA. As the River Hill Representative to the Columbia Council and a CA Board Member, the village representative is responsible for establishing CA’s policies and strategic initiatives, serving on CA Board Committees, and communicating CA-related information to River Hill residents. The Columbia Council Representative is also an ex-officio member of the RHBOD and is expected to attend Board meetings regularly.
