Strong Voter Turnout for River Hill Election
Greenberg Re-elected, Imran and Krausz Secure Board Seats

The River Hill Community Association (RHCA) held its annual election on April 26, 2025, to select a Columbia Council Representative and members for the Village Board of Directors. Ballots were cast by 230 residents, nearly 100 more than last year, enabling the election to meet quorum. Absentee ballots were submitted by 35 members of the community during the early voting period and 195 ballots were cast on election day.

Ron Briggs, chair of the Election Committee, announced the following results. In the contested race for the Columbia Council Representative between incumbent Eric Greenberg and Adam White, Mr. Greenberg received 208 votes and Mr. White received 19 votes. Congratulations to Mr. Greenberg on his election to another two-year term to the Columbia Association Board of Directors. Previously he has served as Chair of the CA Board of Directors and as a member of the River Hill Board of Directors. He lives in the community with his six-year-old son and his wife, Brianna.

Thank you to Adam White for his willingness to serve by running in the election for the Columbia Council Representative position. Mr. White
previously served multiple terms on the River Hill Board of Directors, holding the positions of vice-chair and chair, and as a member of the Watershed Committee. His commitment to public service is truly appreciated.

River Hill residents elected two members to the Board of Directors for a two-year term: Moe Imran and Lisa Krausz. Mr. Imran, who has lived in River Hill with his family since 2006, returns to the board for a second term. Ms. Krausz, who has lived in the village for over six years, steps onto the board for the first time. They will join the two current members of the Board, Kevin Bruening and Balbir Lakhanpal.

The remaining open position for a two-year term will be filled by appointment at the May 6 board meeting. Residents who would like to apply should submit a letter of interest by May 5 at 5 p.m. to manager@villageofriverhill.org.

RHCA appreciates the volunteer members of the Election Committee, April Battle, Ron Briggs, MaryEllen Fields and Rob Pernick, who were integral to making the election a success. Thank you to the members of the Village staff who ensured a successful election process. And, thank you to the election day volunteers who provided valuable service to the community by verifying eligibility of voters, handing out ballots, answering questions, counting ballots and tallying results. Last but not least, thank you to our residents who participated in the election—your engagement strengthens our community.

To continue fostering this sense of connection and shared purpose, we encourage everyone to explore the many volunteer opportunities available throughout the year. These opportunities allow residents to meet neighbors, learn new skills and material, and enjoy fun experiences. No experience is necessary, and commitments range from a few hours a month to a few hours a week. Contact the Village Manager for
