The COVID-19 pandemic has upended our daily lives and routines. The River Hill Community Association, just like our residents, is having to adjust and modify. Claret Hall closed to the public on March 13 and won’t re-open until mid-May or even later. Most association staff members are working from home and the Board of Directors has begun holding virtual meetings. We’ve mailed an abbreviated version of our newsletter, The Villager, to all residential properties in the village while producing a more robust April/May issue available here. We are re-scheduling community events, including the association’s Annual Meeting and Elections for the Board of Directors which have been postponed until June 27, and are exploring other ways to keep our community connected.
Flexibility and understanding as we traverse these challenging times are key. It has been wonderful to see how members of the community have been pulling together to support one another and reduce stress levels. If you have an example of how you, your neighbors, or friends have made the best out of this very difficult situation or have an idea for ways we can celebrate our community while being separated, we’d love to hear from you. Thanks to everyone for staying at home and practicing social distancing when you do need to go out. We are truly all in this together!
