Clarksville Pike-Route 108 Design Guidelines Update

Thank you to everyone who participated in the community meeting on June 25!

It was a great group discussion with over 40 people participating. After an initial update and orientation by the County’s design consultant, you and your fellow community members interacted with the DCI design team, SWA traffic engineers, SHA representatives, Columbia Association representatives, and County officials and staff to express your preferences for design elements in the corridor. Everyone discussed options, raised areas for clarification, and made selections related to roadway design, landscaping, streetscape options, architectural concepts, and identity ideas. The room was full of conversations and comments, and many good questions were asked.

The consultant team is now preparing a draft document of recommended design guidelines and a streetscape plan to reflect the input and comments received from the community, County agencies, and SHA. A future meeting is being planned to present a draft document.
