Clarksville Commons Petitions for Phase 2 Mixed-Use Development
During the June 13 Board of Directors meeting of the River Hill Community Association, George and Holly Stone/Greenstone Ventures II, LLC, shared their proposed plans to begin development of Phase 2 of Clarksville Commons. The plan calls for a Residential/Commercial Building consisting of 72 proposed residential units, referred to as “reasonably priced rental housing,” which necessitates the submission of a Conditional Use Petition. The proposed 3-story building will consist of approximately 62,092 square feet of residential space and 35,000 square feet of commercial space. Also included in the proposal are 127 additional parking spaces and tenant amenities. The subject property is currently zoned B-1 (Business: Local), consists of approximately 7.8 acres, and is located at 12230 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, MD 21029 (Tax Map 34, Grid 6, Parcel 23).
A pre-submission community meeting to meet with the Petitioner, who will provide a brief presentation of the proposed Conditional Use Petition, and to ask questions, make comments, and discuss this project will be held at Claret Hall on Thursday, July 6 at 6 p.m. The meeting is open to the public, and residents of the Village of River Hill are encouraged to attend.
