Block Captain Meeting

Current Block Captains and residents interested in becoming involved in the Neighborhood Watch Program are encouraged to attend a meeting on Monday, November 29 at 7 p.m. at Claret Hall.  Ofc. Terrence Benn, the Association’s police liaison and the Southern District’s Community Resource Officer, will lead this session.  The presentation will focus on improving observation and reporting skills in order to deter criminal activity in our community.

The police rely on residents to be their “eyes and ears” in the comunity.  How many times have you seen something taking place that seemed unusual for your neighborhood but you didn’t know what to do?  Come to this meeting to find out when it is appropriate to notify the police and what types of information is helpful to them.

To find out if your street already has a Block Captain or for more information on the program, contact Susan Smith via email at manager@villageofriverhill.org or call 410-531-1749.
