Aphasia Book Club
Are you a stroke survivor who struggles to enjoy reading as you once did? Join Speech Language Pathologist, Julie Rowlett, for a book club that modifies reading for adults with Aphasia. Aphasia is a language disorder caused by a brain injury or stroke that impacts speaking, understanding, writing and reading. The Aphasia Book Club uses “reading ramps” to make reading accessible and enjoyable for all.
The spring session begins on March 23 and runs Mondays at 1 p.m. through May 18 at Claret Hall. The entire 9-week program costs $200 including all materials and the book. Space is limited. Call or email Julie Rowlett for registration information: Julie@neurorehabnetwork.org, 410-645-1001, www.neurorehabnetwork.org.
