Club participants met in February to enjoy a slideshow presented by Joy Cheung’s, a group member, trip to Hong Kong last fall. She also brought a delicious Chinese dessert for everyone to enjoy. Meetings have been scheduled for Tuesday, March 20 and April 17 at 7 p.m. at Claret Hall. The plan for the group is to continue meeting at Claret Hall on a monthly basis, make new friends, share information and plan and do on-site and off-site group activities. You do not have to be a River Hill resident to attend.
Columbia Association’s (CA) Senior Advisory Committee is still in need of a River Hill resident. The goal of this committee is to advise CA on the needs, interests and concerns of Columbia’s senior residents. Nominees must have demonstrated interest in the senior population, be at least 55 years of age and be knowledgeable of senior programs and services in Howard County. The representative will be responsible for providing updates to the Village Board and assisting in the communication of pertinent information to the community. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
